INTERACTIVITY

Sheizaf Rafaeli said that interactivity is a term which is nowadays underdefined. (Rafaeli Sheizaf) That is because the notion of interactivity is set upon the foundation of what we have always perceived to be the communication of language or the exchange of information through eye contact or body language. Considering the changes in computer science in recent years it is easy to understand this statement. A considerable amount of time has gone into the anticipated interaction between me and the website builder or User agent has allowed me to fully experience its interactivity, as I set out to analyse an interactive media platform by constructing an interactive website. This interaction of man and computer has been simplified, user interfaces have become less complex and are designed with the newbie in mind. This anticipated interaction between two contrasting worlds have fore seen the problems that I would have faced which has allowed me to create a website in days, a task which just a few years ago would have taken the expertise of a computer programmer who can create interactivities via JavaScript. The interactivity in a website builder, in turn creates interactivities between the website/computer/biasness and its market. GuruShots uses addictive interactivity between its customers and itself, these customers interact with each other sending messages and liking each other’s pictures, yet more interactivity. Interactivity is brought by understanding audience predictability via data patterns. New media has opened a world of communication and user agents fill the void serving as the middleman.
